My work explores the mind and spirit through a visual language of marks, symbols, and gestures rooted in Eastern culture, conveying emotional and spiritual depth. I am drawn to meditations on memory, identity, and emotion—expressing happiness, loneliness, gratitude, and longing. As an Asian female artist in New York City’s dynamic, multicultural landscape, I grapple with nostalgia for my homeland and the complexities of belonging, both of which profoundly shape my practice. Each work carries messages of hope and resilience, inviting viewers into moments of quiet reflection and healing. The motifs I employ serve as subtle testaments to endurance and the shared human experience, bridging cultures and reminding us of our collective journey through uncertain times.
